ON OCTOBER 10th , RM Auctions proudly returned to the Keystone State for Vintage Motor Cars of Hershey, in conjunction with the AACA’s annual Eastern Division Fall Meet. Held for the second successive year at Hershey Lodge, Pennsylvania’s largest convention resort, the event spanned America’s great motoring history from its earliest days to the present. Numerous great American marques were well represented, including Pierce-Arrow, Studebaker, Auburn, Duesenberg, Cadillac, and Lincoln, among many others. The wide variety of cars also included a number of 1950s favorites from Chevrolet, Cadillac and Oldsmobile, as well as European rarities like a 1970 Iso Grifo Coupe and a stunning, one-owner 1962 Bentley S2 Continental. The event was headlined by a majestic 1933 Duesenberg Model SJ Phaeton by La Grande, (J510, chassis number 2540), one of the rarest and most desirable open-bodied Duesenberg models ever produced. In addition, a collection of ten very creative pedal cars, modified by well-known automotive artists, attracted over $84,000 in support of the AACA’s important work preserving our nation’s wonderful automotive heritage. | |
